Northwest Hotel Investment Forum Announces Modular Hotel Development Program For Its Fall 2017 Meeting
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Seattle, WA (August 23, 2017) – The Northwest Hotel Investment Forum (NHIF) announced today that its centerpiece program for its October 5, 2017, meeting will be “Should You Go Modular with Your Next Hotel?” A panel of multi-disciplined, highly-regarded executives will discuss their experiences and approaches in modular hotel development.
The panelists are Don Cape (Director of Development, Tharaldson Hospitality), Michael Merle (Director-Hospitality Division, Guerdon Modular Buildings), and Blair Hildahl (CMO and Principal, Base4 Architects and Engineers). Raquel Ortiz (Senior Analytics Manager, STR) and Mark Lukens (Managing director, LW Hospitality Advisors) will also participate in the meeting’s program and provide information, forecasts, and analysis on hotel performance, sales, and investment parameters. The program and panel will be moderated by Irvin Sandman of Sandman Savrann, a national law firm devoted to the hospitality industry.
Over the last five years, much work has been done behind the scenes to bring the benefits of modular construction to hotel development. With the recent construction and completion of several branded hotels and with many more modular hotels in the pipeline, the approach has reached “critical mass.” The topic is of particular interest as building costs rise and completion times increase.
NHIF is an invitation-only, semi-annual forum for principals and executives of hotel owners, brands, management companies, developers, investors, and lenders. Currently in its sixth year, NHIF’s purposes are to provide a select-group setting for high-level industry discussions and to help spur hotel acquisitions, development, investment partnerships, and growth. It has the support of the industry’s major hotel brands, who serve as NHIF’s Brand Sponsors.
NHIF’s fall meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport. Qualified hotel executives and principals interested in an invitation to the meeting may email info@sandsav.com.
