The Northwest Hotel Investment Forum is a place where:

Short Program: Recent Transactions and Deal Velocity, Mark Lukens, Senior Vice President, HREC (Seattle, WA). Mark will provide information and analysis about regional transactions and activity. HREC is the nation’s premier real estate advisory and brokerage organization specializing exclusively in the lodging and gaming industries. Mark is in charge of HREC’s Seattle office. He has 25 years of experience in hospitality real estate and holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.
Panel Program: Hotel Debt and Equity. A panel of industry stakeholders and dealmakers will discuss hotel debt and equity—what’s available, how to attract it, the terms, costs and metrics, and what the future may hold.
Panelists:
Mike Brown, Hospitality Finance Group, Wells Fargo Bank (San Francisco, CA). Wells Fargo’s Hospitality Finance Group, created in the fall of 2008, currently carries more than $4 billion in hospitality industry loan commitments. Mike oversees the group’s new business in the western United States. Mike’s background includes positions with Eastdil Secured and KPMG’s hospitality group.
Patrick Feltes, Senior Vice President, Hospitality Franchise Finance, GE Capital (Scottsdale, AZ). GE Capital provides debt financing for hotel refinancings and acquisitions. Patrick has 16 years of experience as a loan originator with GE.
Rick Frank, Senior Vice President, Hotel Investments, Behringer Harvard (Dallas, TX). Behringer Harvard creates and manages strategic real estate investment programs through its real estate investment trusts, partnerships, joint ventures, and proprietary program structures. Rick Frank oversees the firm’s hotel group. He has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality sector, including positions in Arthur Anderson’s real estate and hospitality groups and senior financial and operations positions at ITT Sheraton.
Harman (Jet) Wales, Managing Director, Moss Adams Capital (Seattle, WA). Moss Adams Capital is an investment banking firm. Jet advises owners in need of equity and debt capital. His background includes positions in U.S. Bank’s investment banking group and Prudential Capital Corporation.
Moderator:
Irvin Sandman, Attorney – Counselor, Sandman Savrann PLLC (Seattle, WA). Sandman Savrann is devoted exclusively to providing comprehensive, first-choice legal counsel to the hospitality industry. Irv has served as lead counsel in hundreds of hotel ventures, transactions, restructurings and controversies worldwide and is a frequent speaker, panelist and writer on hospitality topics.
