Practice
Melissa’s practice focuses on labor & employment and ADA compliance and defense. She has extensive experience in providing employment counseling to clients, including policy and handbook drafting, employment practice audits and seminar presentations. She also has experience in all aspects of employment litigation including: wage and hour class actions, defending employers during audits brought by the Department of Labor and State Labor Commission; defending employers in matters brought before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Division of Labor Standards and Enforcement, and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board; conducting independent expert investigations of workplace harassment; and defending employers through all stages of litigation.
Melissa routinely provides AB1825 sexual harassment prevention training to clients throughout the country. She has special expertise and also provides seminars in Title II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
